Cognitive Diversity Consulting

Jonathan’s consulting on Cognitive Diversity first prepares listeners to understand learning styles—not just the presence or absence of a learning disability—as diversity. Moving beyond the notion that only the learning disabled are unique, he stresses that learning varies from person to person.

Jonathan coaches managers, staff, teachers, counselors and students with this new insight, to explore their own learning styles and how they fit into the particular work or school environment. Jonathan provides strategies for leaders, individuals and groups to best utilize the strengths of the different learning styles in the environment.

Facilitating Groups

As a facilitator, Jonathan helps groups understand how their members share and absorb ideas and information. He helps leaders and individuals to best use the strengths of all group members.

Asset-based Personal Empowerment

Jonathan points out what is right in those who find challenges the workplace or school. He starts first by helping folks think about themselves as capable individuals with many positive contributions to the group—often a new idea for many who lived with labels.

Then, he provides a framework for individuals to nurture their strengths, and training in its real-life implementation.

Youth Leadership Development

During youth leadership development, Jonathan introduces youth to the idea that they can engage in their educational decisions and future. He explains how to do so, and trains youth in taking a proactive role in their school decisions.
